Ana Coimbra Trigo

Ana Coimbra Trigo is currently a Trainee Lawyer at PLMJ – Law Firm, in Lisbon, Portugal. Because of her fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese, Ana has worked on both the International Projects and Tax teams, and ultimately aims to work in international commercial arbitration.
Ana completed her undergraduate studies in Law at the University of Coimbra and holds a LL.M. in European and International Law from the China-EU School of
Law in Beijing. Ana has also completed post-graduate studies focused on the practice of international arbitration in both Portugal and Portuguese-Speaking Countries hosted by the University of Law in Lisbon.
During her LL.M. studies, Ana competed in the 13th Vis East Moot in 2015 (Hong Kong) and went on to join the Moot Alumni Association (MAA). As a result, Ana worked as a moot arbitrator in Vienna, and served as the organization’s delegate to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law Working Group on International Arbitration in both the New York and Vienna meetings. Ana’s master thesis focused on applicable regimes to interim measures in China-seated international
commercial arbitration.
In 2017, Ana was selected as a Mentee for the Young- ICCA Mentoring Program, and is currently being mentored by Professor Albert Jan van den Berg, and looks forward to practicing in international arbitration in the future.
