Beat Schlapfer

Beat Schläpfer has received a Master degree (summa cum laude) from the University of Fribourg , Switzerland , in Fall 2011, after receiving a bilingual (German-French) Bachelor degree (2009) from the same institution. He spent one Semester at the Center for Transnational Legal Studies in London (2010) and visited the University of Alabama School of Law for a Summer Exchange Program (2009). Furthermore, he participated in the 18 th Willem C. Vis Moot Court for International Commercial Arbitration (2010/2011) for the University of Fribourg, ranking 2 nd for Memorandum for Claimant.

He is currently gaining experience in the International Arbitration Group's Intern Program at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP in London (Fall/Winter 2011), before joining Schellenberg Wittmer in Zurich in Spring 2012 to prepare for the Swiss bar exam. He has previously gained working experience in a major Swiss commercial law firm and at the Chair for Civil and Commercial Law of the University of Fribourg under Prof. Dr. Hubert Stöckli.
