Carla Góis Coelho

Carla Góis Coelho is a senior associate at PLMJ who has worked in the civil litigation group and also with the arbitration team since 2006.
Since 2007, Carla has been involved in domestic and in international arbitration proceedings both as counsel and as arbitral tribunal’s secretary.
In 2008, Carla earned a postgraduate in arbitration from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and in 2010 attended the PIDA Training Programme on International Commercial Arbitration at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris.
In 2013 Carla concluded her master’s (pre-Bologna) in legal sciences at Universidade de Lisboa. Her master’s dissertation was entitled “The res judicata in arbitration awards: in particular, its preclusive effect”.
Carla is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association and of APA – Associação Portuguesa de Arbitragem.
