Caroline Swartz-Zern

Caroline is an Associate (Admitted in New York) in the dispute resolution groups at King and Wood Mallesons in Perth, Australia (secondment), and Hong Kong. She specialises in arbitration (commercial and investment) and cross-border litigation.
Her experience includes representing parties under ICSID, HKIAC, ICC, UNCITRAL, and the Federation of Cocoa Commerce Rules. She has assisted in advising clients in the oil and gas, energy, mining and fast moving consumer goods industries. Prior to joining King and Wood Mallesons, Caroline was a law clerk in the international
arbitration groups of large international firms, and at domestic firms in the US and France.
She has guest lectured on arbitration at City University of Hong Kong, spoken at seminars on arbitration in Hong Kong and Singapore, and was a teaching assistant at L’Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) in comparative law.
She has co-authored chapters on investment protections in the forthcoming Arbitration in Singapore: A Practical Guide, and for the Global Arbitration Review’s Investment Treaty Knowhow (Hong Kong and Singapore).
She is fluent in French and admitted to the New York State Bar.
