Christopher M. Campbell

Chris is an international business and legal strategy consultant for the firm Shiver & Associates based in Columbia, South Carolina. A graduate of the Darla Moore School of Business (B.A.), the South Carolina School of Law (J.D.), and the Tsinghua University School of Law (L.L.M), Chris specializes in international commercial and investment arbitration across the globe, and has studied and worked on several continents.
Chris has also served as an arbitrator for the South Carolina Judicial Department on a myriad of varying disputes. As a result of his business school education, and business consulting background, Chris aims to bring practical business insights to resolving disputes and legal conflicts.
Chris is currently on hiatus from the firm until August 2017 as he serves as the inaugural clerk to the Honorable Jocelyn T. Newman of the 5th Circuit of South Carolina.
Chris is also the host of the upcoming podcast “Tales from the Tribunal”, a show that examines contemporary trends in international commercial arbitration. That
podcast will be available in August 2017.
From 2014 to 2016 Chris was a coach of the Tsinghua University Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court team. Chris was an editor for the Moot Alumni Association (MAA) during the 2016 edition, and also served as an United Nations Commission on International Trade Law E-Commerce Working Group delegate for the organization.
