Jean-Pierre Harb

Jean-Pierre Harb received his Law Degree from Saint-Joseph University School of Law in 1996, a Master Degree (DEA) in International Private Law from Paris II University (Panthéon-Assas), a Master Degree (DESS) in Foreign Trade Law from Paris I University (Panthéon-Sorbonne) and a LL.M. degree from New York University School of Law.
Jean-Pierre has been working in international arbitration and construction law, representing companies in ad hoc and institutional international arbitration proceedings. He focuses on dispute relating to construction, commercial transactions and investments. He also advises some major construction companies on contractual issues arising out of infrastructure and oil & gas projects. He previously worked in different jurisdictions such as China, Saudi Arabia and Greece.
Jean-Pierre Harb has been a frequent writer and speaker on arbitration topics.
He has been a contributing author to the following books: International Arbitration Checklists (Juris Publishing, 2009), The Baker & McKenzie International Arbitration Yearbook (yearly publication, Wolters Kluwer).
Jean-Pierre Harb is member of the Paris Bar.
He is listed arbitrator with the ICC French National Committee, the Arbitration and Mediation Centre of the French Arab Chamber of Commerce and with the Chinese European Arbitration Centre (CEAC). He is also member of the ICDR Translation Committee of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), the International Arbitration Institute (IAI), the Association for International Arbitration (AIA), the Association Française d’Arbitrage (AFA), Association Suisse d’Arbitrage (ASA) as well as other arbitration associations.
