João Paulo Tannous

João Paulo Tannous holds a LL.M. degree at Queen Mary, University of London, with specialization in Commercial and Comparative Dispute Resolution. His master’s dissertation was entitled “The Extension of the Arbitration Agreement to Non- Signatories”. He is also post-graduated in Civil Procedure Law at the Catholic University of São Paulo, Brazil, where he also earned his LL.B.
After working almost 15 years in large law firms (Pinheiro Neto and Souza, Cescon, Barrieu & Flesch), where, as a senior associate of the litigation department, João Paulo Tannous was involved in several arbitral proceedings, both domestic and international, in the area of Civil and Commercial Law. He is currently a partner of
Gouveia, Silveira & Tannous Advogados.
He is also a member of the Brazilian Arbitration Committee – CBAr.
