Melanie Eckardt

Melanie focuses her practice on corporate law and international dispute resolution, with an emphasis on international commercial and investment arbitration. She specializes in corporate and general civil law disputes.
Melanie studied at the universities of Passau, Erlangen-Nurnberg and London. She also obtained an LL.M. (Class of 2009) from King’s College
London where she focused on international commercial law, international investment law and international arbitration. While pursuing her Ph.D. in international investment law and arbitration, Melanie worked for the international arbitration practice group of two leading global law firms in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
She was admitted to the German Bar in 2014 and has been with Gleiss Lutz since.
Melanie is a member of the German Arbitration Association (DIS), the German Initiative of Young Arbitration Lawyers (DIS 40), the ICC Young Arbitrators Forum (YAF) and ICDR Young& International.
