Milan Lazic

Milan Lazić is the head of the regional Arbitration and Litigation Department at Karanović & Nikolić. He is a Serbian qualified lawyer with over 10 years of professional experience and has represented clients in a number of high profile international court cases as well as in a number of major international arbitration cases of before the ICSID, ICC and UNCITRAL arbitrations, and arbitrations before the local Foreign Trade Court of Arbitration attached to the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
Milan advises clients over many industries, including energy and infrastructure, real estate and construction, privatisation, telecommunications, leisure, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, environmental, maritime and banking and financing among others. Over these industries, Milan has represented clients such as the Republic of Serbia,
Republic of Bosnia & Herzegovina, including Republika Srpska, Serbian State Electricity Incumbent, Bank Austria, Societe General, Alltech, Lloyds Bank, Microsoft, US Steel, and Henkel.
Milan is also highly experienced in international and domestic corporate and commercial litigation, disputes and services and advises large corporates and international and domestic public institutions.
Milan is an author and editor of various articles and chapters on Serbian legislation and arbitration practices and frequently participates in international and domestic arbitration conferences and in-house training programs. Milan is also pioneering efforts to develop local arbitration practices and working with the University of
Belgrade and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce to establish a domestic centre for arbitration.
