Nicolás Loayza

Nicolás Alarcón Loayza is an LLB Candidate at Universidad Catolica San Pablo, Arequipa, Peru.
Currently, Mr. Alarcón serves as pre-tenure professor of Public International Law at the aforementioned Law School and as Legal Intern at the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) in Washington D.C. He holds a Diploma in International Commercial and Investment Arbitration at American University Washington College of Law, and has followed the International Academy for Arbitration Law in Paris. As participant and coach, Mr. Alarcón has taken part in several MOOT Court Competitions.
Currently, his research is focused in the inter-sections between International Investment Law and other International Law’ regimes through the use of standards in investment adjudication.
