Paola Ratti

Paola Ratti graduated in Italy at Università statale di Milano in 2008, with a thesis showing the use sensu lato of the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts in the arbitral and judicial practice. An article on her thesis was published in 2009 in a well-known Italian review, Diritto Internazionale Privato e Processuale. During the law school, Paola obtained experience abroad. In 2005, she was a visiting scholar at University of California – Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law.
She worked for two years in Milan at Studio legale Sutti, an Italian law firm, in the commercial litigation and arbitration department. In 2011, Paola worked for six months in Paris, at Racine cabinet d’avocats. The same year, she was admitted to the Italian Bar.
Paola is specialized in Italian law (civil and commercial matters, litigation, international private law and EU law) and has a deep interest in international arbitration from her college years. In July 2011, she also attended the Arbitration Academy’s courses on investment arbitration in Paris. Later, she became ambassador of the Academy.
Paola speaks Italian, English and French fluently and she is now practicing as a lawyer in Milan and Lecco, her hometown. Finally, Paola would like to thank Pedro Sousa Uva and Gonçalo Malheiro for their kind consideration.
