Paula Pereira

Paula Redondo Pereira is the Head of Cabinet of the Secretary of State for European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Portugal. Paula holds a law degree from NOVA University of Lisbon, a LL.M. from Georgetown University in Washington DC, and a Masters in European Studies from Católica University in Lisbon. She is a PhD
candidate from NOVA University of Lisbon.
Between 2004 and 2010 she was an associate at Uría Menéndez in Lisbon and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York and from 2010 to 2013 she worked as legal advisor to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM). From 2011 to 2013, she was also a visiting professor of capital markets law at NOVA University – Angola Business School. She served as legal advisor to the Secretary of State for European Affairs from December 2013 to September 2014, before her nomination to her
current position as the Head of Cabinet.
Paula is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association. She is the founder of the Georgetown Club Portugal and was board member of the NOVA Alumni.
