Sarah Ganz

Dr. Sarah Ganz is a counsel at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP and a member of the firm’s Litigation/Controversy Department.
Dr. Ganz specializes in international arbitration and litigation. She has represented clients in disputes governed by a broad variety of substantive and procedural laws, of both civil and common law jurisdictions. She has acted as counsel in institutional as well as ad hoc arbitrations including proceedings under the ICC, UNCITRAL, DIS and Vienna Rules. In addition to international commercial arbitrations, her practice includes the representation of investors and states in investment treaty disputes. Dr. Ganz
advises clients across a wide range of commercial and industrial sectors, including telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, energy, and oil and gas.
Dr. Ganz is dual-qualified as a German Rechtsanwalt and an English solicitor. She completed her First State Exam at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich, where she later obtained a Doctorate Degree. She completed her Second State Exam at the Munich Higher Regional Court. Dr. Ganz also graduated with a Licence en Droit from Université Panthéon- Assas (Paris II) (with distinction) and obtained an M.Jur. degree from the University of Oxford (with distinction). She speaks German, English and French.
Dr. Ganz is a member of the Global Advisory Board of ICDR Y&I. She is also a member of the ICC Young Arbitrators Forum (YAF), the German Institution of Arbitration (DIS and DIS Below 40), the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA Below 40), as well as the LCIA Young International Arbitration Group (YIAG).
